Frank Cipolla, Jr. brings more than thirty years experience to the team. Frank has been in the IT industry since 1979.  He is one of the few individuals who is comfortable in the software, hardware and operating systems environments.  Common Sense Computers was established by Frank in 1982 as a software and systems integration consulting house.

His projects over the years include a process control application for Scientific Atlanta, an international data gathering application for AT&T, setting up the Unix infrastructure for The Weather Channel and hiring and managing their first software development team.  Frank was the chief IT designer and developed their first website, and other applications to support the meteorology department with the team.

Frank lead design and development teams for BellSouth Cellular and subsequently was recruited to lead the UNIX support team when the Cingular company was formed by joining 11 companies.  Frank’s team was responsible for working with various software development teams and porting their applications to a common Unix/Solaris Platform.

Since the restructuring of the consulting business within large corporations since 2002 Frank has focused on providing infrastructure support for mid to small companies in northwest Georgia.  Frank’s company, Common Sense Computers, Inc. has built a small datacenter and provided off-site storage for a small client base as well as a development platform for their own software projects.  Frank has recently begun recruiting software developers and is proceeding with development of proprietary products for clients in the web 2.0 environment.
